Privacy policy

Your information, plainly

Last updated November 8, 2026

SealCheck (sealcheckup.com) connects homeowners with a vetted local crack-sealing contractor for a free driveway check. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. "We" and "us" mean SealCheck.

What we collect

  • What you tell us: your name, phone number, email, street address or zip code, and your answers about your driveway.
  • Your consent record: whether you agreed to be called and texted, the exact wording you agreed to, the time, your IP address and your browser type.
  • Booking details: the time you pick when you schedule your check.
  • How you found us: the ad or link you came from (for example campaign tags and ad click IDs), the pages you visited on this site, and cookies set by advertising tools (see below).

How we use it

  • To match you with a contractor who serves your area and set up your check.
  • To call or text you about your request, if you agreed to that.
  • To make sure requests are real and to stop duplicates and spam.
  • To measure which ads bring in requests, so we spend less to reach homeowners.
  • To answer you when you contact us, and to meet legal requirements.

Who we share it with

  • One contractor. We send your request to one independent contractor who serves your area. That contractor pays us a referral fee. They use your information to contact you, do the check and, if you hire them, the work. Their own privacy practices apply to what they do with it.
  • Service providers that run this site for us: hosting, our database, scheduling, and text and email delivery. They may only use your information to provide those services.
  • Advertising platforms (Meta and Google). We use the Meta Pixel and Google Ads tags, and we may send these platforms hashed (scrambled) contact details and the fact that you requested or booked a check, so we can measure our ads. Meta and Google handle that data under their own policies.
  • When the law requires it, or to protect our rights, users or the public.

We do not sell your information to lead lists or hand it to more than one contractor.

Calls and texts

If you check the consent box, SealCheck and the contractor matched to you may call and text you about your request, including with automated technology. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts, or ask us to stop calls at any time.

Cookies and ad tracking

Meta and Google set cookies and similar tools on this site to measure ads and show ads to people likely to need them. You can limit this in your browser settings, at Facebook ad settings and at Google My Ad Center.

How long we keep it

We keep request and consent records for as long as we need them to handle your request, settle billing with contractors and show we had your consent, which can be several years. You can ask us to delete your information sooner; we'll keep only what the law requires us to keep.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or tell us to stop contacting you. To do that, use our contact form. We may need to confirm it's you before acting on the request. We won't treat you differently for asking.

Security

Your information is stored with access limited to the people and systems that need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect what you share.

Children

This site is for adult homeowners. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Big changes will be made clear on the site.
